The new accredited Cert II – IV in Learning and Teaching an Australian First Nation’s Language courses are designed for Victorian Koories wishing to learn and strengthen heritage language knowledge and skills and teach a Victorian Koorie language. These accredited courses will become available from 2025.
- 10890NAT Certificate II in Learning an Australian First Nation’s Language, is designed to provide increased language learning opportunities in schools and community, leading to further education and vocational pathways.
- 10891NAT Certificate III in Learning an Australian First Nation’s Language, is designed as an entry level pathway for working as an Aboriginal language specialist and strengthening cultural identity through language in education programs.
- 10892NAT Certificate IV in Teaching an Australian First Nation’s Language, is designed to meet the education and community needs to increase the pool of accredited First Nation language specialists/ facilitators, to deliver structured language programs in schools, early childhood services and community settings.
