Koorie Student Of The Year Award

The Koorie Student of the Year Award recognises the achievement of a Koorie student who demonstrates the relevance of lifelong learning for themselves and their community.

The term 'Koorie' used in this Award is inclusive of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
To nominate for this Award, you must be:

• a permanent resident of Victoria
• identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
and meet the eligibility criteria for any of the below student categories:

• Apprentice of the Year
• Trainee of the Year
• Vocational Student of the Year
• School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year

The winner of this Award will be nominated by Victoria for the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year Award at the Australian Training Awards and will receive $5,000 in prize money and a 2019 Victorian Training Awards trophy.

Nominations are open for the 65th Anniversary Awards, which recognise and honour the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations in the Victorian TAFE and training sector.
