Indigenous Student Summer Camp

Hands on Monash Indigenous Student Summer Camp running from December 3 - 5, 2017.

The 2017 Summer camp aims to provide Indigenous students from Year 10–12 (must be 16 years old at the time of the camp) with an in-depth insight into University life, while focusing on team-building, motivation, meeting new people, culture, confidence-building, and health and wellbeing. The camp is free and will be hosted on the Clayton campus, Monash University.

Over three days students have the opportunity to experience the following;

  • Stories, advice and mentoring from our current students
  • Cultural activities
  • Keynote speeches from community leaders and other inspiring people
  • Careers and course advice
  • Student support advice
  • ‘Hands on’ activities in a range of fields including: Arts and Law, Engineering and Information Technology, Business and Education, Science; and Medicine and Nursing.
  • Monash Sport
  • Staying on campus
  • Question and Answer panel with staff and students
  • 10 pin bowling, sport activities, hip hop dancing and more
